Maths Mysteries
Mysteries have become one of my favourite types of resource. There are so many available now for all different levels and types of topics. My plan is to collate them all in one place.
Mysteries are a set of clues or rules to be solved. Students read through the clues to solve the task, doing maths all the time. A really good mystery creates and amazing atmosphere. Collections and Books I started using mysteries when I found a book called "Mathematical Team Games" by Vivien Lucas. Have a read of my review here. Durham Maths Mysteries A collection of 6 mysteries including the topics: ratio and proportion, directed numbers, algebra, properties of shape, locus and probability.
